Brooks Loves the Water

I haven't been bringing Brooks into the pool with us when we go swimming because I didn't think he'd like it. (O.k. another HUGE reason is that I have Abbi and Anni to watch over and the fact that Annabelle is definitely not afraid of the water.) So I brought him in the water with us in his little floatie and he loved it. He would take a deep breath when Annabelle would jump in by him unexpedly and splash him, but considering it was hot out he was great after the initial shock.
Brooks is such an easy baby to have around. He is not shy with his smiles, and loves to give them out. All around he is just a joy every moment! I couldn't ask for better kids.

All Girl Through & Through

I found Abbi and Annabelle some shades from a store here called Janie & Jack. It was the most adorable store, and I could have bought everything they had!

Abbi was sporting her dad's baseball hat. I think even when she is trying to be tough, the girl in her just shines through even more. In this picture I see my mother. I remember seeing a picture of my mom with her two sisters and I can say that Abbi is definitely related to her Grandma Beahm. (That's a great thing mom!)

Ever since I can remember Abbi loves to cross her legs. I remember having an ultrasound while I was pregnant with her and she had her ankles crossed. If she is in her car seat she is always crossing her legs. From crossing her legs and always wearing dresses, to knowing how to dance and be graceful without any teaching she is just good at being "girly". She is a perfect princess at heart.

Having a Grand Time

This is Brook's first time in a baby swing. Although he didn't do much swinging, he loved every minute.

Abbi is so awesome as a big sister!!! Brooks loves having her play with him. She can always get a smile from him, and she's always giving him kisses and hugs. Kids are so sweet!

Annabelle was just loving every moment of her swinging. Her and Abbi love to put their heads back and make wishes. Annabelle's favorite is being tickled in the swing. I don't know if it is the tickling or the anticipation of it that gets her more.

Tahoe

Mark and I are adventurers. Every weekend we ask each other "so where to this weekend". We love to go into the city, be outdoors, walk the malls, go swimming, or even just take a drive. We love to get out with the kids.
Last weekend we decided to drive to Lake Tahoe. We were thinking we'd be able to go on a little hike and just be in nature. Well, we were surprised when we got there and there were more people than here in the city. Traffic was crazy and you couldn't see the beach for all the people, but we found a little hike where we could have some quiet and listen to the wind in the trees. I was able to take a deep breath and realize just how much I love the mountains. We are so blessed to have such beauty around us. I am extremely excited to get back to our house and just be HOME! 4 months is a long summer "vacation"? We have had a great adventure.

Identity Crisis

I think I have a mild case of O.C.D when it comes to my blog. I have gone nuts about the whole background thing! I can't seem to settle on a background, or even a general look for more than a week or two. I hope this one sticks for a while, but I also hope to make my own header as soon as I get some awsome software to help me do with digital scrapbooking. Well, at least it will keep you guessing every time you check us out. I think I can focus on posting(the thing that really counts) for a while now. Today is a wonderful day!!!

Girls Love to Pose

These pictures were taken just before the birthday party. I had time to take a couple of shots while they were dancing in their dresses waiting for it to be time to go to the party. I love my kids smiles, they are the sunshine for every gloomy day.

Best Friends

For being sisters these two sure do play well together. There are occasional cat fights, but for the most part they are two peas in a pod.

Princess Party

The girls were invited over to our neighbor's for a great Princess birthday party. I loved the look on the girl's faces when Snow White walked in the room. They were so excited to have a "real" princess in their presence. They had fun dancing, painting their arms, and playing games. Thanks for the great time Sarinha! Happy Birthday!

Alcatraz and San Francisco

My sister Jenny came with her husband and son to hang out for a week. We had fun at Alcatraz and spent two days in San Fancisco. Of course the boys wouldn't go without a baseball game, but this time they went to the Oakland A's because that is Jon's team.

Fam Comes To Town and We Have To Play!

Abbi, Annabelle, and their cousin, Tristan were going crazy in the apartment so we took them to this huge wooden park. It was extraordinarily hot out so they didn't last long, but they had fun.

King and Queen of TROUBLE!!!

4th of July

Annabelle and her cousin, Alex were both exhausted from swimming and enjoying each others company for a relaxing movie.

Mark was playing peek-a-boo with Brooks and it was absolutely adorable!

Abbi and Grandma Romer were cuddling for the fireworks.

Mark and Alex are being the pyros that boys naturally are.

Annabelle was super entrigued with the sparklers. It's a great thing that kids have something to look forward to.

If You Look Close...

In Annabelle's birthday pictures you can see that she has a big hickey on her upper lip. I took her to the park for a picnic but when we got home I asked her to wash up because she had a chocolate mug. I was a little distracted with feeding Brooks and putting him to bed and didn't realize that she had done what I had asked. I insisted that she wash again and she got a little frustrated with me and said "but mom, it won't come off!" That is when I looked a little closer and found that she had given herself a rather large hickey from her chocolate milk carton. I had to laugh. Annabelle is such a joy to have around. She is definately teaching me to laugh through life.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNABELLE!!!

I Hope you had a wonderful birthday beautiful! For Grandma Beahm, she was not excited to see money included in her birthday gifts. (a bit of sarcasm included:)Thank you to all for thinking of her on her special day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNABELLE!!!
